‘Separating the Myths and Facts of the College Financial Aid Process’
A FREE workshop on getting the facts about college financial aid will be held at the Eastern Branch Library, 1001 Route 35, Shrewsbury, NJ on July 10 at 7:00p.m. The speaker will be Chuck Drawbaugh, a leading college speaker and consumer advocate. He will be discussing such topics as how to send your children to the school of their dreams without going broke; how to increase your eligibility for aid; and most importantly, separating fact from fiction regarding the overwhelming process of applying for financial aid.
Additional topics to be included:
- How to pay for college with less money out of your pocket.
- How to send your child to a private school for less than the cost of a public or state school.
- How to pick the colleges that will give you the most amount of money.
- The one mistake every parent makes when applying for scholarships.
- Strategies to be able to afford the school of your dreams.
- A calendar of college events - what to do right now if your child is in high school.
- How the current market will affect student/parent education loans.
The seminar will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will last two hours. Admission is free
